The Rota do Petisco, a gastronomic event in the Algarve, is back. The 13th edition of the Rota do Petisco starts on September 15th and lasts for a month, until October 15th, covering 176 bars and restaurants across 11 municipalities in the Algarve.
Fans of "petiscos", the portuguese word for snacks, and gastronomy have various options spread throughout the Algarve where they can create their own gastronomic experience. After acquiring the passport, where they can see the participating locations and stamp their experience, they have the choice of "chef's signature dishes for €5, traditional snacks and other new options for €4, and delightful Algarvian desserts for €2.5. Don't forget about dishes from other countries for a flavor journey and vegetarian main courses," as mentioned by the Rota so Petisco organization. The passport, available for purchase at various locations in the district, comes with four different covers to choose from and costs only €1.5 (the entire amount is donated to Algarve charitable projects). It also offers numerous advantages such as free museum entrances and discounts on activities.
In the municipality of Vila do Bispo, the passport can be purchased at the Vila do Bispo Cultural Center and the Vila do Bispo and Raposeira Parish Council.
